It is going to be about six months before I am done with school, but I figure that I need to get a jump on looking for a good job. There are going to be hundreds of graduates looking for jobs all at once when the diplomas are handed out. I figure that I should probably look at getting my resume out before all of the others. I went down to talk to a guy at Compass employment agency in singapore. My friend Mitch is a year older than me and this is how he got his job. Of course they are not really specializing in the entry level position that I am likely to be offered, but I am going to be brazed and try to get something higher up the ladder at once. Right now I am not really seeing that I will not be able to put a very impressive resume down on paper. All of my professors seem to love me and I have served internships with a couple of major banks.
So I figure that I am ready for some sort of mid level position and it does not seem as though I have much to lose by trying for one. My Dad used to think that confidence was a very valuable asset in these sorts of situations. If I believe that I can do these jobs, then the only thing that remains is to convince the guy who can give me the job that I can. obviously it is a lot better to start out in the middle than it is to start out on the bottom rung of the ladder. I suspect that I might be disappointed in this design, but then I am not going to be very discouraged if I am.
